North Carolina’s Accelerated College to Career Program

What are the benefits of joining Boost?

Reduce or eliminate your tuition costs ($1,400 per academic year)
Pay for some or all of your textbooks ($300 per semester)
Help with other costs of attending college ($100 monthly incentive)
Connect you with tutors and other support services
Provide a dedicated Success Coach to keep you on track for graduation

Eligibility

To receive the benefits of the NCCCS Boost program, students must meet the following requirements:

Be a U.S. North Carolina resident eligible for in-state tuition, according to the NC Residency Determination Service (RDS)
Have a high school diploma or high school equivalency (not open to dual enrollment students)
Apply for financial aid via FAFSA: studentaid.gov
Receive the Next NC Scholarship
Be able to complete college-level math and English requirements within their first academic year
Have no more than 24 program-applicable college credits earned or in progress when you are accepted into the NC Boost program
Attempt at least 24 credits per academic year (fall, spring, summer)

8. Be enrolled in one of the following eligible programs at JCC:

Air Conditioning, Heating & Refrigeration
Applied Engineering Technology
Bioprocess Technology
Biotechnology
Computer-Integrated Machining
Criminal Justice Technology
Diesel and Heavy Equipment Technology
Information Technology
Mechanical Engineering Technology
Welding Technology
Associate in Arts
Associate in Arts Teacher Preparation
Associate in Engineering
Associate in Science
Associate in Science Teacher Preparation
Health and Fitness Science
